Argent Dawn Tour

twilight
First I will say this. I was pleased at how friendly and open the community was. while I did not find much Horde rp,  I did find a guild and several people openly talked to me about rp while I was parking my character prior to touring.

Now, on to the tour.

Server: Argent Dawn

So, I logged into Goldshire, and was confused. I did not find hookers, naked dancers, or get asked to cyber. The main room actually had several real rpers there. They were, rping. I did not expect that at all. Surely, this can not be true: Real RP in goldshire?

Is this a trap? I decide to go upstairs, and look for action there. The following is all I see, they appear to be rping (not to be confused with erping). The attire is questionable, but from what I read and saw the rp was innocent enough.

So, I head out of the bar to go to the lake. In the middle of the street it seems like there is an rp guild having a gathering of some kind. There was the usual duelist in the street, however I was amazed to see an rp guild rping in the street.

There is also this guy standing in the street. His facial expression is concerning.

From the street, I head to the lake and find this crew. I got a laugh out of the transformed character talking about eating kids.

Song has an rp mod with a description.

Also, I notice out on the lake this guy all alone.

I head back to shore, and find this RPer has arrived to relax by the lake.

From the lake, I headed to the fishing house. It is a popular location for erp, however I found it vacant. So, it is time to head to Stormwind. Argent Dawns Goldshire was very tame compared to my past experiances on other servers. I found real rp, lots of it - and next to no erp/trolling.

Stormwind is mild. I fand the bars, and the cath empty. there are however a few rpers scattered around the city. Here is one I found fishing.

Here is another RPer I found on the streets.

My last stop Allianceside proved to be...amusing. Murder row remained..and there I found something

Yes, I found vampire rp. Bad, very bad vampire rp. He even starts to demand that she 'climb into a coffen and wait for morning'.

This goes on for a while. I leave, and decide it is time to head to the Hordeside.

Silvermoon is peaceful. In my run through, I find the Innsalmost  vacant, and only 2 players flagged for rp.

Other than those two, I see no other Horde rpers. Brill was vacant when I arrived.

In closing, I was very pleased if not shocked to find that on this trip Goldshire was fruitful. I found rp that I could respect. Hordeside was barren, and left me with the impression of being a Ghost Town.

Now bored, I decided to stop by Moon Guard, curious to see if the Moon Guard Goldshire has improved. I log into a slave auction on Moon Guard. Druscilla was on auction,l Jarrius was selling her'.

It depends on what time of night and what day it is, honestly. There was a bunch going on starting around 9 pm tonight.

Each server has its times.

However, it is not fair and unbias to log on specifically when I am told to do so because I will find rp.

I love the juxtaposition of the messages at the auction.

"Free this woman at once!"
"I'll give you 600!"

When did you go to check out RP on Argent Dawn? I play hordeside and SMC is usually hopping starting around 9 pm. Royal Exchange is the favored hang out, along with the accompanying Inn.

Oh geez. That last screenshot had me in stitches. Like another poster above me said: love the juxtaposition of messages.

I'm wondering, the RP mod for some of those folks... what add-on is that? I'm honestly looking for one of those!

Nice icon.

I use 2 mods, Flagrsp and Myroleplay. You can download both from curse gaming.

Now that is just awesome. I remember you whispering me about my Initiates garb and asking if I'd mind coming back for a screenshot. Then I switched out to the full armor for another photo. But I didn't expect to see my character featured in someone's journal, nor did I expect to see the entry linked on my Guild Forum.

When I can, I try and make certain that people get the little perk of "Please hold still, you have a nice rp outfit I want to screenshot".

I do TRY and feature some good in this tour when I can :)

I don't know what time of the day you came on, but I hate to tell you this; Goldshire is pretty much the place where griefers and e-whores go to hang out. If you did find RP there, and by looking at the screen shots you posted, the people you found are hardly people you could call RPers. Don't even get me started on Song. /facepalm.
