The screenshots speak for me.
First, I logged into Sisters of Elune Goldshire to find it erp free, nearly empty, and with a handful of rpers actually rping in the far corner at the bar. Don't believe me? All I can offer is a screenshot of the near empty tavern.

Outside the bar, and at the fish house I found nothing interesting. So on that note I headed to Stormwind. In Stormwind I stumbled into this guy.

From there, I begin my usual Stormwind walk. On the way to the first bar, I see this guy.

At the first bar I stop in, I find rp. There is a bartender, and a patron. During this visit, I learn of an rp event going on in the NeLF capital city.

So, I finish touring Stormwind. I did not find any other RP in Stormwind, aside from this RPer at the Harbor. From SW, I decided to head to the rp event I learned of.

Now, along the way to the rp event at the temple, I find an rper or two as well. However, their mods were barren and offered no descriptions. All the same, I saw some rp in passing. At the temple, below is what I arrive to - an active rp event. Dispite being a lowbie that no one knew, I was greeted and made to feel welcome.

When players arrived they were "blessed", pictured below.

Here are a few rp descriptions from the players attending. There are very many descriptions, I am sorry that I can not show them all.

On that note, I log off. It is time to visit the Horde.
Hordeside, I find a collection of rpers in Silvermoon. Brill I found to be vacant. The first thing I log into, was rp in the bar I was at. The bedrooms upstairs were vacant, I did not find any active or obvious erp / trolling / griefing.

Below are a few screenshots from around Silvermoon of the different Rpers I saw actively rping.

While in Silvermoon, I did see this lockpicking advertisement.

With Sister of Elune tour completed, I ended my tour. From there, I logged back onto MG to talk to a few friends and in the ooc channel. As I stood around in Goldshire on MG, I was asked for cyber a few times - however there was active rp going on inside the tavern.

I also saw this very unique rper roaming around the MG Goldshire.

Thanks for reading another tour.

But I find your choice to tour only SMC/Brill dissapointing. I suggest that you go look at the Crossroads or Ratchet whenever you go hordeside, because I'm sure that wherever you go, you will find a percentage of the horde population aren't very into SMC/eastern kingdoms, and stay on more 'home turf' of Kalimdor.
Still hope to see more. :D
I do understand your point. However, I want to keep the forumal simple and about the same for all servers.
I'm merely curious because I play on Moon Guard myself.
I started including what happens when I log on MG, because several people calimed "thats is a 1 time sitaution" - "that sort of thing is rare" - etc. So, now when I log on, I just post the things that so many MG players deny happens.
It just feels like you're picking on Moon Guard a bit much. Or maybe we're supposed to have higher standards. >.>
Maybe I should roll me up an alt on SoE. Moonguard will always be home though, even if we do have a lot of losers
I like to think the Alliance has more of them, anyway. ahahaha..** I speak as a hardcore roleplayer on Alliance-side. Horde-side RP on SoE is wonderful and always includes outsiders. Have yet to be asked for ERP on my priest alt there. **

Hordsside does feature some fabulous RPers and guilds (If you're ever there again, check out the Wolf Pack), It is comparable to Alliance-side, as you (the author) have seen.
Again, thank you for attending our event, and I am glad you toured our server at the time we were having it.
Really though, if you want opinions of your guild from other players on the server though, you could always open up a critique post on the SoE realms. I'm sure others would love to have their say and perhaps as the guild leader, you could invoke some changes to really shape up the RP community.
I've transferred between RP servers and have alts on every single one, with SoE as my main. To even say the RP on SoE is impressive and open to outsiders is a disillusion, perhaps sending the wrong message to new rerolls.
I apologize for simply disagreeing with your almighty opinion. Continue to host these (and ban me if you like), but I'll be sure to mention how much of a load of BS they are when you post about them in other communities simply because you can not meditate nor take another's opinion.

My post is in responce to the following threat made by a player who is using the blog/tours to air her personal dislike against a guild/person.
----
"Bitching? This is a tour/review of our server and I am giving people who insist otherwise the chance to speak up and prove our server's worth, as well as add my own critique. If you consider this drama or bitching, you really aren't in the position to be considered a "reviewer". Especially when you spend nearly not enough time as the players who do play on the server.

Congratulations on sinking to that personal level. Shows you aren't mature enough to accept critique, as well as your lack of judgment in your reviews. Good job.
If all you are here to do, is to bash other players who did something nice, then gtfo.
If you have a problem, take it to them not this blog. Your so called critique was just you trying to manipulate the blog for your personal bullshit and problems against people.
First off the alliance side of SoE has a user created OOC chat for all members of the RP community to join without a password (horde side might have one but since I haven't really gotten far on my BE priest I don't know for sure). This is a place where all RP'ers can chat and I have seen many people announce RP events and inviting everyone to come join.
I was lvl 10 when I attended my first RP event. The bar hosted by Robs in one of the pictures above. When I and my boyfriend (he's still fairly new to community as well) came in came in I was greeted by the hosts of the event and offered a beverage. Things were kind of quiet so we went to the other bar and the same thing. We were greeted as we came in and offered something to drink.
To say that the RP community ignores outsiders is far from the truth. In both bars I watched as the hosts greeted everyone that walked in the door and welcomed them to sit down, even if they just happen to wander in and say "What heck is going on". There were several different RP conversations that were going on that anyone was welcome to join in on. Even though I was sitting off to the side quite a few came over to talk to me. My biggest observation, the more I became vocal in conversations to more people talk to me and included me. I even got into a back and forth with one players two toons.
Eventually a small group of players from Ithildin Dae showed up which my boyfriend was already a part of. I was introduced and readily included into their group and RP. I never felt like an outsider. At the end of the night I was invited personally by Elunedae (our guild master) to put in an application on the site.
I had such a good time that I did put in an application and now a member of Ithildin Dae and found that all memebers talk to you irregardless. Even at the Temple event Elunedae made it a point to try to bring me into RP chatter by introducing me to other players. I have plans to bring my other toons (Including my main) to SoE.
When it comes to RP you get out of it what you give in, I have found that yes the RP players on SoE will try to include everyone. But if you don't hold up your end of the bargain when it comes to RP'ing than yes you will find yourself on the outside because RP'ing is about interacting and being involved without waiting for that engraved invitation to be involved.
" As a long standing player on SoE, I feel you may have overlooked an important thing in these reviews. Does your character interact or do you merely just watch from the outside?"
#1 I am not reviewing rp on the servers. I am just taking a walk and screenshotting what happens during my walk.
#2 I only involve myself when someone tries to include/approach me. As stated in my rules I do not provoke rp for better or worse. I do interact when someone approaches me. However, I do keep the interactions limited.
But I'm glad that SoE left a positive impression!
I also use Wow Matrix to keep my mods up-to-date.
*victory pose* but I am glad we do not suck verily!
The thing I like most about the server is how active and friendly (for the most part X3) the forum community is, and how "small-townish" the server feels.
I, too, have been here since the server first opened up to free transfers. The community has been wonderful. If you get a chance to play both sides, you'll see how the RP differs (Alliance-side, you tend to have to work your way into, while Horde is more open) - but it's definitely there.

But, I must agree. Most of the Alliance Role-play is fairly self-contained in guilds, or 'clique' based. Ithilin Dae, no offense to Elunedae and her guildmates, is rather hard to stomach for none-elven characters. I don't mind role-played racism, but it's hard to include a portion of the RP Community when their persona are met with antipathy or condescension.
On another note, I have seen many amusing RP-Crafting adds. There was one the other night that was something like: "Shamaness seeks Blacksmith for tender care of weary hooves!"
pink and sexy. must have!
There's a lot of drama and infighting. As one player termed it, the community there is incestuous; the old blood stays, drives out the new, and keeps the status quo.
I'd advise staying away if you're a serious roleplayer.
